As Council 67 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, we represent over 15,000 public employees in the state of Maryland. Our members are school bus drivers and attendants, corrections officers, sanitation workers, public school custodians and cafeteria workers, water and waste water technicians, clerical and technical employees, college staff, maintenance workers, housing authroity employees and managers, community health nurses, parks and recreation workers, and many many others. AFSCME (pronounced "aff-smee") is the larget sector labor union in the country.
